Ergonomics (or Human Factors as more commonly known in the US) refers to the relatively recent science of designing equipment and systems so that they are easier to use and less likely to lead to errors in operation. Ergomomics itself has standards to which e-learning screens can be designed to. These involve the design of the e-learning navigation and information architecture. Ergonomics is also involved in the e-learning content, associated with chair and seating design, although it can also equally refer to soft-systems such as software where reference to the information architecture of the user is taken into consideration.
